A Destination

In the heart of the Caribbean, historically known as Hispaniola, there is the island where in 1492 Cristopher Columbus landed, founding the first Spanish Colony, and later the first city of the New World, Santo Domingo. Oasis Bay Resort is located in the Dominican peninsula of Samanà, a pure earthly Paradise still untouched by modern development.

Wild beaches, with the highest concentration of palm-trees in the world: here everything seems to be timeless,
the sea has crystal transparencies and the beauty of the reef is a breathless view. The international airport "El Catey - Samanà" is only 30 km / 18 mi far.

The apartments

The 14 apartments, 2 per lodge, are a well equilibrated mixture of elegance and refinement. The Resort is a prestigious place, a delighted spot near the sea, set in a rich and luxuriant vegetation. The lodges lay around the swimming pool, surrounded by gorgeous tropical flowers. All the apartments have air conditioning, minibar, hairdryer, direct phone line and safe.

The Beach

The beach is less than 500 mt / 540 yd far from the lodges and appears to the Atlantic Ocean, the charming sand is more than 200 mt / 220 yd wide and about 4,5 km / 3 miles long. Part of the beach is reserved to the resort’s guests, where the typically Italian comfort and welcome are recreated. Opposite, more than a kilometre / less than a mile far, there is “Cayo Limon”, a small island rich of vegetation and surrounded by an abounding in fish sea.

THE SWIMMING POOL

The Resort surrounds the big swimming pool, and every apartment has direct access. It’s the best place for a drink, for a refreshing dive or to relax and get a good tan. The Resort is the right place where to live both the beauty of wonderful sunny days and the charm of enchanting starry nights.

A CULINARY EXPERIENCE

The cuisine is the heart and the pride of the Resort. Here, Caribbean perfumes and tastes are well melted with the Mediterranean style. The restaurant is sober and elegant, one of the best in the Saman peninsula.One of the two bar has its suggestive location in the swimming pool.

EXCURSIONS

The Resort offers many possibilities to combine comfort and adventure. It’s possible to horse ride on the beach, walk in the palm-trees jungle and go up torrents and rivers. Don’t miss the view of the enchanting ''Limon Fall'', the highest in Central America, few km / mi far from the Resort. The near Samanà harbour is worldwide famous for "Wale Watching".
